Meet the Artist
Little bit of background info!
Trained in both fine art and costume design, Gwendolyn has been combining her passions for historical costume, drawing and painting for over a decade.
In 2009 she obtained her BFA in Illustration, and then worked for several years as a costume technician and historical interpreter at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. In 2013 she headed off to Scotland, and got her MFA in Performance Costume from the University of Edinburgh in 2015.
Freelance life and family brought her back to the US; and after working as a draper for various theaters in the Chicago area, Gwendolyn has now settled in Arizona and has found fresh inspiration there under the colorful, vibrant skies.
